The lakes were originally built in 1965 when Five Lakes was developed. The Five Lakes Civic Association along with Brookwoods Golf Course maintained the lakes for 40 years until it was necessary to rebuild the dams. East West Partners bought the land adjacent to the lakes to develop Patriot's Landing neighborhood and hired The Timmons Group to rebuild them at a cost of over a million dollars. The lakes are a beautiful asset to our two communities and we work together with a joint Lake Committee to keep the lakes clean, safe and ecologically healthy.
The lakes are private and for the use of Five Lakes and Patriot's Landing homeowners only.
A lake pass for homeowners who wish to park on Shoreline Drive can be obtained by emailing rebeccavc@aol.com
The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries polices the lakes once a week and will check for fishing licenses.
